Care for Your Dentures at Family Practice Dentistry
We offer both hard and soft relines for our denture patients, and in many cases, these services can be completed the same day as long as the denture is dropped off by 10 AM.
We provide two types of denture relines:
- Hard Relines: The existing impression material is replaced with a durable, pink acrylic that’s custom-shaped to fit the contours of your mouth. When this option is recommended, it’s typically done every two years and offers the most secure contact with your gum tissue for maximum stability.
- Soft Relines: For patients with more sensitive gums, a softer, more flexible material may be used to reline the denture surface instead. While this option needs to be replaced more often than a hard reline, it offers a gentler feel against the gums.
