How often should I visit the dentist?
You should visit the dentist at least twice a year. Routine exams help catch decay, gum disease, and other issues early — often before you'd notice any symptoms yourself.
How often should I brush and floss my teeth?
Brush at least twice a day — once in the morning and once before bed — and floss once daily to remove plaque between teeth and along the gumline.
What is plaque, and why does it matter?
Plaque is a sticky film of bacteria that forms on teeth daily. If not removed through brushing, flossing, and regular cleanings, it can harden into tartar and lead to cavities or gum disease.
What are the signs of gum disease?
Common warning signs include bleeding gums, redness or swelling, persistent bad breath, gums pulling away from teeth, and loose teeth. Contact our office if you notice any of these symptoms.
What should I do in a dental emergency?
Call our office right away. Depending on the issue — a knocked-out tooth, severe pain, or an injury — we'll guide you through the next steps and get you in as quickly as possible.
What is Invisalign, and how does it work?
Invisalign is an FDA-approved alternative to traditional braces that uses clear, custom-made aligners to gradually straighten your teeth — with no metal brackets or wires.
How long does teeth whitening last?
Whitening results typically last one to three years, depending on your diet and oral hygiene habits. Occasional touch-ups can help maintain your results long-term.
What's the difference between in-office and take-home whitening?
In-office whitening delivers fast, noticeable results in about two hours, while take-home kits offer a more gradual approach to brightening your smile over a couple of weeks.
What are veneers used for?
Veneers are thin, custom-made shells that cover the front of teeth to correct chips, gaps, stains, or misshapen teeth — creating a natural, uniform smile.
Are cosmetic treatments covered by insurance?
Cosmetic procedures like whitening and veneers are typically not covered by insurance, though we're happy to discuss payment options during your visit.
What's the difference between a crown, bridge, and denture?
A crown covers a single damaged tooth, a bridge replaces one or more missing teeth using neighboring teeth for support, and dentures replace multiple or all missing teeth with a removable or implant-supported appliance.
How long do dental crowns last?
With proper care, a dental crown can last up to 15 years or more.
Do dental implants feel like natural teeth?
Yes — dental implants are designed to look, feel, and function like natural teeth, and they fuse directly with the jawbone for a secure, permanent fit.
Is a root canal painful?
Root canal treatment is designed to relieve pain, not cause it. Most patients report the procedure itself is no more uncomfortable than getting a routine filling.
How do I care for my dentures?
Clean your dentures daily, handle them carefully to avoid damage, and visit our office for regular checkups and adjustments as your mouth naturally changes over time.
Do you accept dental insurance?
Yes, we accept most major dental insurance plans, as well as state-funded insurance. If you don't see your provider listed or have questions about coverage, please contact our office.
What if I don't have dental insurance?
We offer flexible payment options to help make treatment affordable, even without insurance coverage.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments can be scheduled by calling our office directly — we don't currently offer online booking, so our team will personally help find a time that works for you.
What are your office hours?
We're open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We're closed Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card (if applicable), and a list of any current medications.
